Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Transfer the beef mixture to the slow cooker.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Cook pasta separately according to package instructions. Drain.
- Stir cooked pasta into the slow cooker. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Serve topped with shredded Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef to reduce fat.
- Add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms if desired.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
