Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Transfer the beef mixture to the slow cooker.
  4. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  6. Cook pasta separately according to package instructions. Drain.
  7. Stir cooked pasta into the slow cooker. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  8. Serve topped with shredded Parmesan cheese.
