Description

A simple pesto recipe without pine nuts for those with allergies or preferences.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup walnuts (or almonds)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry basil leaves.
  2. Add basil, Parmesan, garlic, and walnuts to a food processor.
  3. Pulse until finely chopped.
  4. Slowly drizzle in olive oil while processing.
  5. Add salt and pepper, then blend until smooth.
