Description

A delicious North Indian street food dish made with spicy green peas curry and soft kulcha bread.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups green peas (matar)
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • 4 kulcha breads

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add green peas and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve hot with kulcha bread.

Notes

  • Use fresh green peas for best taste.
  • Adjust spices according to your preference.
  • You can also use frozen peas if fresh ones are not available.
