Quick and easy honey garlic shrimp bowls are a delicious weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Broccoli florets, steamed, for serving
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss shrimp with 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  2. Heat remaining olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Add honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Serve shrimp over cooked rice with steamed broccoli. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • Adjust honey and soy sauce to your liking.
  • For extra flavor, marinate shrimp in honey garlic sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
